Pixton Experience

   

                                                                  What is Pixton ?

     Pixton is a web 2.0 tool that allows to you create comics. You can use pixton as a teacher, student, parent or as a businessman the only thing that you must do is creating an account and then starting to use Pixton. You can access Pixton from your tablet, smartphone, computer or from any other resource. It also has an application that can be downloaded to your device.

     What can you do in Pixton ?

         While using Pixton, you can: 

• select the background of your comics, it can be an existing background or an image that you choose for your topic
• decide on characters, there are many characters both male and female so you have the chance to compare characters and use the most appropriate one for your purpose
• determine points that will be focused and adapt the style that you want
• type the dialogues, write short texts and add statements
• add panels to your comics
• search the criterias that you want for the background and characters in the searching engine 
• arrange the background colour and brightness
• benefit from the night model led
• make a class and get it ready for your students
• choose the name, grade and subject of your class
• decide on the way which your students use to join class, in that sense your students can use their Google IDs so they don't need to be able to receive email or they can use Pixton usernames that means they have to follow a Login link which unique to the class you created and enter their assigned username. For my class that in the Pixton i choosed the first option because i think it is more easy. 
• make a class photo featuring you and your students, it is very unique and joyful
• create your avatar, in that process you can indicate your gender, skin tone, hair color, hair style, eye shape, eyebrows, eye color, nose shape, lips, earings, expression (i think the most important one), outfit, height and pose
• see your students' comics
• benefit from the printables in other words cards such as speech bubbles, class expectetions, voice levels, classroom supply labels, character map and your avatar
• can delete, rename or deactivate the class you created
• change actions of the characters
• download, print or share your comics             

       I also created a comics to teach the future tense and bring a clear statement to the distinction between the "will" and "going to" because these two forms are always confused and i want to show my students that they are not alone in this situation and they don't need to worry about that. I also except that when my students make contribution to this comics and add their thoughts to this comics and adding i can understand my students  approach to this subject and i can help them by taking their thoughts into consideration.
